PSFGB CHAPTER 74

Wait Till I F*** You Up, You Dog Bastard!

After Rong Fei turned one and stopped clinging to Rong Ci, Su Jingyang started frequently going out with Rong Ci, then finding ways to frantically collect energy.

At the beginning, Su Jingyang took the initiative to look for people who needed help, asking them what their biggest wish in this lifetime was. If it was something he could help fulfill, he would do his best to help. He could more or less get some energy that way, but the efficiency was low. For some reason, there was never any particularly explosive spike in numbers either. After spending half a year like this, the progress bar only barely crawled to 14.5%, which was maddening.

One day, Su Jingyang suddenly had a flash of inspiration. He didn’t have to go find other people. Other people could come find him instead!

Su Jingyang grabbed Rong Ci and discussed it for a while. In the end, they decided they had to build a reputation first, let people know there was someone like him who could selflessly help fulfill wishes.

So Su Jingyang racked his brains for a long time and finally settled on a loud and impressive title.

The Koi Hero!

Catch this lucky koi, and you can make one wish come true! Worth having!

Rong Ci directly closed his eyes the moment he heard the title and didn’t want to comment on a single word. Anyway, Su Jingyang needed him to do whatever, so he did whatever. In the end, he would just push all the credit onto Su Jingyang and make people thank Su Jingyang, and that was enough.

After that, every time Su Jingyang finished doing a good deed, he would actively leave his name behind. He even hired some word-of-mouth spreaders to casually spread the word in crowded places. Hard work paid off since after more than half a year, the Koi Hero finally made a name for himself in the jianghu.

People who wanted their wishes fulfilled rushed in like a tide. Su Jingyang was both happy and excited, and he could barely handle them all. Still… he quickly realized the promotion had gone too far. People were mythologizing and exaggerating him and Rong Ci, so more and more people, whether they understood the situation or didn’t understand it at all, came to muddy the waters and make all kinds of bizarre demands. It gave Su Jingyang a headache.

For example, a destitute, idle widower wanted to marry a beautiful young miss from a noble family. A scholar who couldn’t memorize texts wanted to have a photographic memory. A sixty-year-old granny ran over wanting to return to youth. Someone wanted a one-day palace tour. Someone wanted him to kill so-and-so for revenge. There were even more who were straightforward and opened their mouths demanding a certain amount of gold or a certain amount of money.

That wasn’t treating him like a koi. That was treating him like an immortal and a sucker, wasn’t it?

Sometimes he helped someone fulfill a wish and didn’t get even a scrap of energy. The other person would turn around with a completely justified expression, pat their butt, and walk off! It made Su Jingyang so furious he nearly exploded!

That still wasn’t the most infuriating. The most infuriating thing was that someone actually fell for Rong Ci at first sight. With a red face, they said their greatest wish in life was to marry him. Su Jingyang erupted on the spot, flipping tables and cursing, and driving the person away.

They actually dared to pry at his wall right in front of him. Damn it, they were tired of living!

Fortunately, after filtering out those people, Su Jingyang truly did help some people who genuinely needed it. After more than two years of saving and building up, trekking across thousands of mountains and rivers, going through thousands of hardships, finding children who’d been missing for years, overturning wrongful cases, helping seize back stolen family property, and even matching a few good marriages and so on, the progress bar finally stretched a bit longer.

During this period, they would sometimes go to Jincheng to see Ling Li, or contact Rong Hua, who was drifting around outside. They would meet up, chat, and learn about each other’s situations.

They weren’t outside all the time, however. Every so often they would return to Rongcheng to accompany the kids. Each time they came back, the wet nurses would lead the children to the city gate, where the kids would crane their necks waiting expectantly, then throw themselves into their arms, laughing with joy.

When the progress bar reached 39%, Su Jingyang and Rong Ci returned to Rongcheng. Rong Hua returned with them this time as well. Ming Jiasheng’s entanglement with Rong Hua was a whole mess of heartache and aggravation. The previous year, Ming Jiasheng had even gotten hurt for Rong Hua, losing one eye and breaking one leg.

That kind of sacrifice made it look like he truly was repenting with his whole heart. Rong Hua, however, seemed unable to feel even a ripple about him anymore. He took care of Ming Jiasheng’s injuries for a period of time to repay the debt, then left for somewhere else.

Ming Jiasheng came to Rongcheng twice as well, but both times he arrived to nothing. Su Jingyang saw how crestfallen and lonely he looked, and a faint bit of pity rose in his heart. That pity only went that far, though. Su Jingyang still firmly hoped Rong Hua could find real happiness.

When Su Jingyang returned this time, three children immediately surrounded him. Their delicate, adorable little faces tilted up, their hands tugged at his clothes, and they kept begging him to stay home longer before going out again because they missed him so much.

Su Jingyang asked, “Then how do you all miss me?”

All three of them raised their little hands to pat their chests. With pitch-dark eyes wide, they answered in unison, “With here.”

Hearing their neat, childish voices, Su Jingyang couldn’t stop himself from laughing. He squatted down and patted each of their heads.

He really would stay longer this time, because… he was pregnant again. Calculating the days, this time it wasn’t conceived in the dream realm but in reality.

Since the pregnancy seemed a bit unstable and it wasn’t suitable to run around outside, Su Jingyang planned to come back and rest for a while. He would continue collecting energy after the child was born.

The three little brats were overjoyed the moment they heard he wouldn’t be going out for now. They jumped and bounced, all crowding in to kiss him, kissing his cheeks until they were wet all over. Su Jingyang felt guilty in his heart.

These past two years, he hadn’t accompanied them properly. Without realizing it, the children had grown and gotten taller, and he missed so many moments of their growth, yet…

Sigh.

This day, Su Jingyang finally coaxed the three overexcited little ones into a nap. He was just about to lie down and doze off himself when Rong Hua came to find him. Su Jingyang put on an outer robe and drank tea and chatted with him.

Su Jingyang held his teacup and sipped, his eyes constantly flicking toward Rong Hua. He restrained himself in a sneaky way for a long time, yet he still couldn’t hold it in. He probed, asking whether Rong Hua had met someone outside who was interested in him.

Rong Hua went momentarily blank and silent, then lifted his chin slightly, blinking at Su Jingyang with a smile. “Guess.”

Su Jingyang slammed the teacup down on the table in excitement. “There definitely is!” If there wasn’t, Rong Hua would have denied it immediately.

Rong Hua’s brow twitched. “There is. A friend’s friend. I’m not interested in him, so I’m preparing to run.”

Su Jingyang said, “Then what, then what??”

Rong Hua said, “Then… he’s especially hard to shake and especially stubborn. I didn’t get away, so I made a bet with him. If he can find me within three years, I’ll agree to be with him.”

“Did he agree?”

“He agreed.”

“Then what?”

“Then I ran.” Rong Hua smiled. His fingers rubbed the teacup lid as he thought carefully, then he looked at Su Jingyang again. “If you count it now… it’s already been over a year. I’m going to stay in Rongcheng for the rest of the time. He definitely won’t be able to find me here.”

Su Jingyang pondered for a moment and muttered, “That’s not necessarily true. There’s still a long time left.”

Su Jingyang didn’t keep digging into who that person was. While Rong Ci still hadn’t returned, Su Jingyang asked Rong Hua a question he’d been suspicious about for a long time.

“You’re asking what kind of formation uses blood? There are lots. As for one that uses blood almost every day…” Rong Hua’s words paused here.

His eyes imperceptibly tightened for a beat, then he smiled and said, “Using blood daily is also quite common. We’re the witch clan, aren’t we? It’s just like that. We need blood, hair, and things like that as a medium. All mystical and mysterious. Why did you suddenly think to ask this?”

“Rong Ci’s hands have fresh cuts every day. I don’t even know what he’s doing. Before, even if he went out, he’d leave blood behind and hand it to the Grand Shaman to help with something. This time, the moment we got back, he went out again. I keep feeling like… he’s hiding something from me.”

Rong Hua comforted him. “What bad thing could he be doing? At most he’s making some sacrifice to protect the clanspeople. Besides, he’s a grown man. Losing that little bit of blood isn’t a big deal.”

Su Jingyang scratched his cheek. Fine. He hoped he was just overthinking it. Rong Hua lifted his eyes and glanced at him, seeing he didn’t intend to ask further, then lowered his gaze and drank tea quietly.

Su Jingyang rested at home for only a few days before Ling Li suddenly arrived in town. Once Su Jingyang got the news, he ran out to meet him.

Ling Li came back mainly for two reasons. The first was to see Su Jingyang. The second was to come back and pay respects to his father. Back then, Liu Yue’s parents had scattered his father’s ashes into a filthy drainage ditch and let it wash away. Ling Li hadn’t been able to retrieve a single thing. In the end, he could only have a place custom-made for memorial rites.

After the rites were finished, Su Jingyang accompanied Ling Li, whose expression carried a faint sorrow, sitting there for quite a while before they set off for Rongcheng. Ling Li met Su Jingyang’s children and saw that each one was smarter and more adorable than the last.

He was extremely happy and took out all the gifts he’d prepared, handing them out to the children. He also met Rong Ci and Rong Hua. They ate together, chatted, and strolled in the garden. It was as if there was no difference from how it used to be when they were together.

Rong Hua stayed extremely close to Ling Li for several days, showing obvious dependence. His mood also looked much better.

Ling Li only stayed in Rongcheng for ten days before he had to leave again. Any later, and that person in the palace would be unhappy waiting.

Su Jingyang couldn’t bear to part with him, so he got on the carriage with him and saw him off for a stretch of the road.

The carriage rolled steadily along the not-so-wide street of the town. There was no clamor at all around them. The quiet was so deep it didn’t resemble a daytime market at its busiest. Su Jingyang lifted the curtains on both sides and glanced outside. Ling Li’s eyes, cool and clear, swept out as well.

The street on both sides was densely packed with people kneeling and prostrating on the ground. Every so often there were several officials kneeling too. It was an astonishing display. Su Jingyang secretly inhaled a breath and turned to look at Ling Li. “Ah Li, do they all know your identity?”

Ling Li held his hand and shook his head. “They don’t.”

“Then…”

Ling Li said, “It’s probably something His Majesty arranged. Even if they don’t know who’s sitting in the carriage, if the officials tell them to kneel, they kneel.”

Hearing how casually he said it, Su Jingyang blinked hard twice.

At this moment, at least half the people outside were the ones who had bullied and looked down on Ah Li before. Now, though, they were terrified and kowtowing as they lay prostrate on the ground, seeing off the carriage as it passed. Not one of them dared to move.

Su Jingyang stared at Ling Li’s delicate, beautiful profile and his calm, composed expression. He couldn’t stop the curve of his lips anymore. For some reason, a sharp sense of satisfaction rose in his chest, laced with pain.

Ling Li caught the smile at the corner of his lips and silently smiled as well.

When the carriage passed the location of the old Lin’s Small Eatery, it paused slightly for a moment.

A fair hand lifted the carriage curtain open by a thin seam, then it dropped again quickly, as if wind had passed without leaving a trace. The carriage and the long line of guards continued onward.

Su Jingyang and Ling Li parted this time, and it was a long while before they could meet again. They could only exchange letters. Even Rong Fei, the youngest, knew that Su Jingyang would be very happy when a letter from Jincheng arrived. Rong Fei would always snatch the letter and hand it over himself, then clamoring to be held and have the letter read to him.

Su Jingyang’s pregnancy this time didn’t bring many uncomfortable reactions. He didn’t experience back pain either. He was just sleepy. Every day, whenever he had nothing to do, he would sprawl on the daybed and sleep.

Su Jingyang had always thought he would have a daughter. In the end… he gave birth to another son.

When the three older ones ran over to see the new little brother, Su Jingyang counted heads. Four. That was right. Without even realizing it, he had actually given birth to four already! At this rate, he really would end up like the system said and give birth to ten. That was completely beyond what he could handle… Su Jingyang wore a face of utter despair.

A few years ago, #1 had told him it planned to self-destruct at the instant it could suppress #2. That instant needed a trigger, though. With great difficulty, it had united nearly a thousand people who had been thrown into other worlds and started resisting together. #2’s energy was being consumed extremely fast, and its situation was pretty bad now. It didn’t come out often, yet when it did come out, it would start talking in that infuriating, yin-yang, sarcastic way, spitting ugly nonsense.

Su Jingyang had only one sentence for it. “Wait till I f*ck you up, you dog bastard!”

After the youngest son, Rong Chu, turned three months old, Su Jingyang set off again, full of drive, to collect energy. Rong Ci accompanied him, working like an ox and never complaining. This time, they placed a box at the entrance of a house. Next to it they laid out papers labeled with numbers. People with wishes would write them down and toss the papers into the box. Later, Su Jingyang would pick some that sounded reliable, then seek out the truly needy people according to the number on the slip.

Su Jingyang buried his head in the pile, flipping through. Suddenly, he found one that was especially simple. It only had two characters: find someone.

Su Jingyang recalled that the times he gained the most energy over the years were when he helped a family find their missing child. That kind of thing was meaningful and also earned a lot of energy. There was no reason not to do it.

Rong Ci saw that Su Jingyang’s expression already said he’d made up his mind, so he stopped flipping through as well. “This one?”

Su Jingyang nodded and had Yun Qi paste the selected number on the outside of the box. They waited a long time, yet no one came. Su Jingyang ran out and saw a servant-looking person tugging hard at a young master, dragging him toward this place. “Go on, go on, Young Master! These are the last few days and try your luck! Maybe there’s this opportune coincidence? Go on, go on!”

That young master had sword-like brows and starry eyes, tall and handsome. He looked only a bit over twenty. He wasn’t wearing fine brocade or a jade crown, yet from head to toe there was an indescribable, outstanding noble air. Still, there was a trace of impatience between his brows right now. “You know it’s the last few days and you still dare to waste your young master’s time? Some Koi Hero. It sounds like a flashy fraud.”

His mouth said that, yet he still forced himself to come along.

Su Jingyang came face-to-face with him. The young master sized Su Jingyang up from top to bottom. The two of them silently met each other’s eyes for a moment. Su Jingyang didn’t know why, yet a faint irritation rose in his heart.

Su Jingyang still hadn’t spoken when the young master pressed his lips together, staying silent for a moment. His eyes flicked to the flag by the door that fluttered in the wind, painted with a koi pattern. Contempt leaked into his gaze, and he actually turned around and left.

“???” What did that mean? Was he looking down on the famous Koi Hero? Damn it. How annoying!

Rong Ci came out and asked him, “Where is he?”

Su Jingyang snorted air through his nose. “He left. For no reason at all!”

Su Jingyang looked at the sky, then turned to Rong Ci. “Forget it, forget it. Let’s tidy up the slips and go eat with Rong Hua. We’ll come back this afternoon and pick again.”

“Okay.” Rong Ci wrapped an arm around his waist and guided him inside. They had barely taken two steps when Rong Ci’s face suddenly sharpened. He raised his hand and intercepted a hand that was about to touch Su Jingyang. Rong Ci’s gaze turned cold and sharp as he looked back.

Su Jingyang jumped, then turned around. That young master had actually returned. Rong Ci flung his hand away and asked coldly, “What business does the young sir have?”

The young master ignored Rong Ci’s question entirely. His eyes bright as stars seemed to burn with a blazing light, staring at the bewildered Su Jingyang. His voice was clearly trembling as he struggled to restrain excitement. He asked, “Just now, did you mention the two words Rong Hua?”

Author’s Note:

I… couldn’t help but open another modern mpreg pre-collection. I want to write modern romance, but modern is too much of a bloodbath battlefield. I’ll open it first anyway =_=
