PLEASE NOTE:

Greetings! *bows*

This is an unofficial fan translation of The Deposed Crown Prince Is Pregnant With The Enemy Prince’s Child [废太子怀了敌国皇子的崽], originally written by 春生夏合. All rights belong to the original creator.

divider There is an existing translation by SpiderLilyTL, currently up to Chapter 28. You can find it heredivider

If they ever decide to return and continue the story, please support them! I truly recommend reading their Chapters 1-28, they have already done wonderful work on it. :')

Now, obligatory transparency time.

I am not an expert in Mandarin. I never claimed to be, and I never will be. I know some simple words here and there, but I am not capable of translating directly from scratch with full confidence. This project is AI-assisted and I will always be upfront about that.

However, please know I do not just press a button and post whatever comes out. If anything, I spend an embarrassing amount of time arguing with the AI 😿. It tends to miss tone, omit small details, or completely misunderstand context!!! I have scolded it more times than I can count 💀

I cross-check with MTL. I reread lines and I adjust wording. As usual, I restore missing nuance and fix tone when it sounds off. I add clarification where needed. Sometimes I stare at one sentence for far too long just to make sure it feels right. AI definitely assists me, but I am still very much here, editing, tweaking, and sometimes suffering for accuracy.

This disclaimer feels a little different from my previous ones because this story is fully historical. I have done a historical-ish project before, but that one had modern elements mixed in. This one is historical through and through.

divider The Holy Trinity of Letter Ts: Tone matters. Titles matter. TAtmosphere matters. divider

For readability, I translate major titles such as Emperor, Empress, Prince, Prince Consort, and so on into English. At the same time, I keep certain terms in pinyin when I feel the nuance would otherwise be lost. I also include notes and explanations for idioms, cultural references, or wordplay, because this story deserves that level of care.

You may also notice there are fewer contractions here. That is intentional. I am trying, note keyword is trying, to keep the narration slightly more formal to match the setting.

I have nothing but respect for translators who work directly from the source text without tool assistance. I can never be them, and I am not pretending to be. I am doing this because I love the story and wanted to share it.

If there is ever an official English release, please support it~

Also, I genuinely do not know why I insist on making my own life harder instead of just proofreading quickly and moving on. Perhaps I enjoy the suffering. Who knows.

Anyway...... thanks for coming to my TED Talk. I hope you enjoy the story as much as I do :3
