Chapter 57: Jiang Liannan
The tallest hotel near the quiet bar was magnificent and splendid, definitely the number one choice for the little shous in the bar when hooking up.
What if the little gongs couldn’t afford a room here?
Then sorry, no matter how handsome they were, they were missing just a little something.
Unless it was a top-tier prize like Li Dong. For someone like him, they would happily pay out of pocket just to get a round in first.
Jiang Liannan was a native of the capital. He had his own place and never went out with others, so this legendary hotel was actually his first time too.
“Sir, please register your ID,” the front desk clerk said. She glanced up at the two devastatingly handsome men and winced inside. Why were all the gorgeous men into men?
“Alright.” Li Dong handed over his ID.
She saw he was twenty. So young it should be illegal.
“And your ID, sir,” she added, looking expectantly at Jiang Liannan.
“…” He froze. No one had told him you needed two IDs to book one room. “I…”
“I will step out to buy something. Wait for me here,” Li Dong said tactfully, making an excuse to leave.
Jiang Liannan exhaled in relief. “Okay, I will wait here.” Only when Li Dong had gone did he carefully hand over his own ID.
“Thank you.” One look at his birth date and the clerk almost got a nosebleed from the cuteness. Fifteen years. A whole fifteen-year age gap.
Damn it, now she really wanted to who the gong was and who the shou was!!!
Li Dong, meanwhile, went to a drugstore and bought a box of condoms. There were four inside, which seemed enough for whatever they might get up to tonight.
Leaning against the counter, Jiang Liannan watched Li Dong come back with a calm face. “What did you buy?”
“Condoms.”
Jiang Liannan immediately showed a pained expression. “Hotel rooms have condoms. You don’t need to specially buy them.” Such a pure kid did not even know this basic bit of common sense.
“Really?” Li Dong played dumb to perfection. “I did not know.”
“It is fine.” He was secretly pleased. He liked first-timers, people without a lot of messy history. “Let’s go.” He took the room card and turned to walk forward, the effortless grace of his stride unmatched.
That Chen Wuhou could refuse Jiang Liannan for over ten years fully proved he was a genuine, authentic straight man. Straightest of straight men. Otherwise, how could any straight man pass up a top-grade shou like this?
Later in the original, after Chen Wuhou finally slept with Jiang Liannan, he had been secretly shocked at how good sex with a man felt.
Which meant Jiang Liannan was a true enchantress, alluring enough to make even straight men click their tongues.
“Come in.” He opened the door, thinking that Chen Can was so green he probably would not even find the entrance.
Li Dong followed him in. “Do you want to shower?”
“Of course.” He looked around the room, then folded his arms and turned back. “You go first. I will go after you.”
“Alright.” Li Dong placed the condoms he had bought on the table. “Give me ten minutes.”
“Mm.” As soon as the bathroom door closed, Jiang Liannan picked up the little bag. He pulled one out and stared. Small?
So that tall, solid frame belonged to a small size?
He rolled his eyes, deeply devastated. He thought, what a waste of that good physique. Turns out he was a big winter melon, definitely good-looking but useless. Terrible.
He put the condom back, suddenly feeling the thrill drain out of everything.
How could he give his first time to a toothpick? Even if the toothpick was the son of Chen Wuhou, it would not do.
The capital’s number one gay having his first night with a toothpick boy? People would laugh him to death.
Jiang Liannan thought it over, then decided that when Li Dong came out, he would make it clear they were not doing this. He had been impulsive, and he was not set on going through with it anyway.
Ten minutes later, Li Dong came out with a white bath towel wrapped around his waist.
“Actually, I think we should—” He sat primly on a chair and then stalled, because he saw Li Dong’s towel tenting…
That curve did not look “small” at all.
The words in the back of his throat turned into a loud swallow.
“What did you say?” Li Dong asked as he picked up one of the table condoms and tore it open. “How does this go on?” He untied the towel at his waist and tossed it aside.
“…” Jiang Liannan involuntarily straightened, leaning forward with eyes wide.
Tsk tsk, what did kids these days eat to grow up like this?!
“Hm?” Li Dong frowned at the condom and muttered, “Bought the wrong size.”
By now, Jiang Liannan had completely changed his mind. He stood, took a deep breath, went to the nightstand and found the hotel’s supply himself. He personally tore one open and brought it to the fresh meat.
“Thanks.” Li Dong turned and accepted it without a flicker of embarrassment.
“You are welcome.” Playing the worldly veteran, he said, “Wait a sec, I will shower first…” In truth, he did not quite dare look directly at Li Dong’s naked body.
“Okay.” Li Dong sat on the bed to wait.
Not even ten minutes later, he got up, went to the bathroom door, and knocked. “I am done waiting, I am getting uncomfortable.”
“…,” Jiang Liannan thought, nearly slipping. Too direct. No romance, no aesthetics. What did he take people for, MBs or free toys?
A quiet regret crept in. He was not sure he wanted this after all.
“What are you rushing for?” After two more minutes, he opened the door, wrapped tightly in a bathrobe. Everyone said virgin gongs were hard to handle. Terrible technique aside, they also had low EQ.
Chen Can was clearly a first-timer. He had zero expectations for technique and only hoped he would not be torn to pieces.
“I was already in the mood when you went in. How could I not be in a rush?” Li Dong stepped forward and hugged the freshly scented uncle. He kissed that ageless face and said, “I have no experience. Please teach me.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” He jabbed a finger at Li Dong’s chest. “I was not lying about it being my first time.” Uncle also had no experience and couldn’t bear the heavy responsibility of guiding others, okay?
“Then we can only rely on ourselves.” Li Dong lowered his head and kissed his lips again. “If anything feels wrong, say it, especially if it hurts. Do not hold back, okay?”
“You had better be gentle…” His voice trembled.
“I will.” Li Dong tipped up his chin and kissed him deep, wanton and thorough.
Kissing was something Li Dong had practiced for over a century. If there were a kissing contest, first place would be his.
With a first-timer like Jiang Liannan, it was a matter of minutes. He surrendered quickly and fell apart.
“…”
That night, Li Dong made use of every condom the hotel provided. Not a single one was spared.
At one in the morning, he finally called a halt and went to shower.
Jiang Liannan lay dead on the bed, breathing in more than he breathed out. Only his eyes still rolled faintly.
Inside, waves crashed through him. Chen Can’s X abilities were off the charts. Even if he had only ever been with this one man, he knew the boy was a peerless prize.
A dazed thought drifted by. He wondered who would get to enjoy this kid in the future. He felt a little sour.
He drifted off before he knew it and did not even notice when Li Dong returned, let alone that Li Dong cleaned him carefully with a hot towel.
That part was just Li Dong pitying his age. Nothing more.
In the past when with his partners, he was gentle and considerate most of the time, only occasionally slacking off and being lazy.
Bzzz. Li Dong’s phone vibrated in his pants pocket, which were draped over a chair.
He fetched the phone. The caller ID showed Chen Wuhou.
“Hey, Dad?”
“It is late. Where are you? Why are you not home?” His father sounded a little anxious.
“I am out having fun. I will come back in the morning.” Li Dong spoke right there in the room. He was not worried about waking Jiang Liannan, because he trusted his ability to keep him down for a while.
“Jet lag keeping you up?” Chen Wuhou chuckled and called him a brat. “Fine. Breakfast together tomorrow. I will get a suit ready for you. The day after… no, tomorrow is your old man’s wedding. I want you sharp and present.”
“Mm,” Li Dong lazily. “I will. Thanks, Dad. Oh, and that drink you mentioned, I had it tonight. It was good.” He looked at the uncle in bed and smiled with meaning.
“…” Chen Wuhou suddenly stopped talking. Clearly, his feelings about Jiang Liannan were complicated. “Cancan, stay away from Cat’s Ear when you have nothing to do. That’s a gay bar, not suitable for you to play at.” Then, “If you want to party, I can recommend a few places. Have some drinks, dance. Just do not overdo it, okay?”
He had drilled certain rules into Chen Can since childhood: no sex without condoms, no drugs or marijuana, no gambling. Aside from those, he did not restrict other forms of entertainment if played in moderation.
“Got it.” Li Dong said, “I am hanging up. Rest early.” There was no point dragging this out. Chen Can was the one with jet lag, not him.
“Alright.” The call ended.
Li Dong returned to bed and lifted the blanket to lie beside Jiang Liannan. The uncle slept like the dead, oblivious to everything.
The culprit couldn’t help but reflect on himself. Just now he’d indeed been too harsh and should have stopped appropriately.
He could not help thinking that next time the male lead saw him, there was an eighty percent chance his legs would tremble and he would not dare flirt again.
At seven the next morning, Li Dong stirred, feeling someone shifting in his arms. He opened his eyes to an exquisite face.
Even at this distance, you could not tell his real age.
No wonder shameless Uncle Jiang claimed to be 25. He could get away with it since he really did look only in his twenties.
Li Dong had business this morning and did not plan to wait for him to wake. He slowly eased Jiang Liannan out of his arms so he could keep sleeping.
He got dressed and left a sticky note on the bedside table: “Something came up at home, so I left first. Here is my number. Call me if you have time.”
Then he left the hotel and took a cab home.
“Can-can, where are you?” Chen Wuhou called twice that morning. He felt guilty for being too busy yesterday to see his son right away.
“Almost there.” Li Dong watched the scenery slip by, a little wistful. For Chen Can, Chen Wuhou was actually a good father.
The saying went that even a tiger would not eat its cubs. Chen Wuhou did care about his son.
Ten minutes later, it was only 8 AM.
Li Dong strode into the Chen family villa. Waiting in the living room, Chen Wuhou smiled and stood when he saw him. “Can-can.”
“Dad.” Seeing the scummy gong of this world, Li Dong finally understood why Jiang Liannan had been obsessed for so long. He really was an outstanding man.
Tall and handsome, radiating masculine power from head to toe. He was the type little shous loved.
“It has been almost a year. Are you taller than your dad now?” He came over to measure, and blinked. “Huh, you are.” Side by side, Li Dong edged him by a bit.
“I might still grow,” Li Dong said with a squinting smile. Then Chen Wuhou frowned, staring at his neck. “What is it?” Li Dong touched it and felt a sting.
“Tsk. Scratch marks. So that is your thing?” Near forty, he had seen every type of woman. One look and he knew last night’s partner was a wildcat. “She must have raked your back too. Find someone gentler next time.”
Li Dong nodded obediently. “She looked gentle. Who knew she would be that wild in bed.” After going all night, his back was a mess of claw marks.
“Hahaha.” He told the chef to serve breakfast so they could enjoy a relaxing meal together. “So, one night of fun right after landing. Feeling better?” Having this shotgun wedding himself made his eldest son feel wronged, and his heart felt bad too.
“I feel much better.” Li Dong poured tea for both of them. “You are not young anymore. Sooner or later you have to marry. So it does not matter who you marry.” He paused. “But a shotgun wedding makes me a little worried.”
“I get what you mean but do not worry.” His father arched a brow. “I have been a playboy half my life. You think I could be trapped that easily?”
Li Dong thought, not necessarily. Half a lifetime of fooling around without ever getting a woman pregnant, then suddenly a lover turns up pregnant. It would be wise to check.
That reminded Chen Wuhou of something. “You went to Cat Ear last night. Do not tell me you found your partner there?” As far as he knew, there were hardly any female customers.
The thought made him tense. He did not want his son to be gay.
“No.” Li Dong lied without blinking. “Somewhere else.”
Breakfast arrived, and Chen Wuhou relaxed. “Good.”
Back at the hotel, Jiang Liannan slept until ten-thirty. When he woke and reached over, the fresh meat from last night was long gone.
He felt oddly empty until he saw the sticky note.
“Something at home… what could be at home…” he muttered, when his phone buzzed on the nightstand.
He rolled naked under the covers to the edge of the bed and grabbed the phone. “Hey, Mantang?”
“Lao Si, finally,” Feng Mantang said in a rush. “What happened? Are you okay?”
“I am fine.” He hugged the covers and lay back down, immediately sucking in a pained breath. “Ow… my waist.” Sore and hurting.
“What happened?” Feng Mantang said, especially exhausted. “Ancestor, are you really fine or fake fine? We are brothers. Why can’t you just say how you feel?” He was getting a little angry. “From last night until now, Lao Yin and I have been calling you in turns. You never picked up. We were terrified you would do something stupid.”
“Pah, who would kill themselves?” In more than ten years of unrequited love, it had never crossed his mind. “I am really fine.” He paused, then sighed. “I am at a hotel. My waist hurts.”
The cigarette dropped out of Feng Mantang’s mouth. “What, a hotel?” He stammered. “What did you… go to a hotel for?” And your back hurts?
He had been celibate for over a decade. Anyone could see that was for Chen Wuhou.
Now that the man was getting married, the two friends worried he would lose it and mistreat himself.
Sleeping with a random person was one of the dumbest options on that list, and they did not want him to do it.
“It is nothing.” Jiang Liannan thought for a long time and decided to bury it in his heart. His brothers could not know.
In the future they would pretend nothing had happened.
“If you are fine, good.” Feng Mantang did not believe it. Clearly something had happened. Probably he had slept with someone.
Which, if you thought about it, was not that strange. Pushing forty, no longer young, he might as well enjoy things while he still could. Who knew if he could even get hard later.
“Mm. I am going back to sleep. I am exhausted.” He hung up and curled back under the blanket, limp as a noodle.
In his palm, he still clutched the sticky note with Li Dong’s number.
Author’s Note:
Morning, my old darlings.
